The Panama Canal.
The six gentlemen constituting the French Panama Canal Commission report favorably on the state of the works, and on the prospect of pushing them forward to completion. The'engineer of the party, M. Duchateuch, who is described as a man of great scientific attainments, has carefully investigated the position of aflairs on the spot, and approves of the conclusions of the Commissioners' report.
