RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES.

[PBR PRISS ASSOCIATION,]

Christohurch, April 5. Dudu and Helmsman galloped a mile, and were then picked up by Alsace. DuduJiad much the best of the finish, and is better then ever before. Town Moor appeared aa good as Freedom in a smart brush over six furlongs, and Pygmalion could have left Egalite" by 200 yds in a gallop, over the same distance. Thackeray covered six furlongf alone, and Lady Mab and Bay King did similar work. Merrie England was assisted first by Count d'Orsay, then by Chatfield, in a Bpin over a mile and three-quarters. The last six furlongs were ran at top speed, and the Autumn Stakes candidate was not seen at his best. Preston, Alcinous, Ahua, and Catamount did easy Avork. Wolverine and St. James were both out after fcreakfast, looking bright and well, but did nothing by which their chance in the Stakes can be estimated.
