The young man who was drowned yesterday while: attempting to save, the occupants of the capsized boat was Henry Talbot, 22 years of age, third officer of the ship Persian Empire. All the occupants of the boat were rescued as well as Thomas and Goodwin, and two hands of the Persian Empire, who also jumped into the water. It is believed Talbot was struck on the head by the paddle wheel of a ferry steamer which came up at the time. Deceased's only relatives are two aunts in England.
