The following Eastern news waß received per British India Company's ptesmer :— Twelye thousand armed rebels from Tnekin attacked the villages of Nakoa and Chunglok, and slaughtered 400 men besides a large number of women and children. Three thousand troops have been sent to the disturbed districts. The Chinese riots which occurred at Bankok have been quelled. They were caused by the members of secret societies. During theriot twenty persons were killed and 150 wouuded, while 900 were taken prisoners.
