Sydney, July 17 Heavy easterly gales and sea m Byron Bay have been responsible for several casualties. The brig Fawn, the schooners Bannockburn, Hastings, and Agnes were driven ashore, but no loss of life occurred. The Spurwing and Fawn were broken up, but the others lie on the soft beach. The Spurwing was insured m the Standard office for ,£1350, the Bannockburn m the South British for £1500, the Hastings m the Victoria for ;£iooo.
