Good fine woo\» realised 5 to 10 per cent above May rates. Coarse and poor qualities remained about on a par. American buyers have taken about 10,000 bales. The New Zealand Loan and Mercan> tile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following London cable message, dated July 15 :— Wool— The sales dosed firmly -this .... day. The following descriptions have advanced since close of last sales :— Superior greasy merino, £d per lb ; combing washed merino, *d to Id per lb j clothing washed merino, per lb ; scoured merino, Id to l£d per lb ; fine greasy crossbred, Id per lb ; fine washed crossbred, Id per lb ; fineßOoured ditto, Id per lb ; greasy merino lambs, per lb ; other descriptions are unchanged. The sales comprised above 815,000 bales ; 9000 bales have been held over for future disposal ; 145,000 bales hare been taken for the Continent ; 10,000 bales have been taken for America. Frozen Meat— The price of mutton' has declined £d per lb, Canterbury lamb is worth 7£d per lb.
