Beisbane, July 14. The highest peak of the Owen Stanley mountains, which has been ascended by Dr McGregor, Commissioner of New Guinea, has been named Mount Victoria. Its height is 13,121 ft above sea level. Dr McGregor found a perfect climate, daisies, buttercups, and other flowers, also heaths and grasses, growing on the summit.
