These Hoes have appeared m a Glasgow paper, accompanied by the remark that "nothing better bad been said on the same subj c lo a briefer space " Here la the stanza:— The lark of Sootia'o morning eky, What voioo may sing bia praises ? With heaven's own sunlight m his eye, fie walked among the daisies, Till through the oloud of fortune's wrong He soared to fieldß of glory, But left biß land her sweetest gong, And earth her saddest story.
