EAST STREET HORSE MARKET.
Messrs Williams and Bland report having held their weekly sale of horses on Saturday, July 6th. There was a large entry of horses, but very few good sorts among them ; 84 being entered, out of whioh 14 were Bold. There was a large attendanoe of farmers and others, and the bidding for good aorta was spirited, but when it came to tbe aged and inferior it was very dragging; The following are the prioes obtained : — A six year old bay mare, by Glenroy, and in foal to Vanquisher, £26 ; medium five year old mares and geldings, £15 10s t £14 10s, £14 10s, £14 15s, £13 10s, £14 10s, £14 ; aged, £6, £3 15s, £1 15s, £1 ss ; haoks, ohostnut mare, five years, £14 10 1 ; medium, £5 15s. Implements— Set of harrows, £2. Whiteohapel cart, £26 10s. Produce— Ohiok wheat, Ba, 8a 6d, 9a per bag ; oats, 2s 6d per bushel ; bran, 5a 9d per bag ; potatoes, 6a to 8s per bag ; oat sheaf chaff, £3 10s par ton, bags extra ; oat straw ohafl, £2 per ton, baga extra ; carrots, 2a 6d per bag ; mutton, lsd per lb. Poultry —Ducks, 8a 6d per pair.
