There waa a email entry of beef, but a fair demand and tho market was firm a rise being notioaable, prices being from 17a 6i to 18s for beat fat. In store cattle there waa a very poor aale indeed, prices being lower than last week. The fat sheep were of remarkably good quality, but th» large supply waa against the demsnd, Mutton may be quoted at about 2d par lb. Store sheep realised at follows :— Forward crossbred wethers, 10^ to lie ; ditto ewes m lamb, 7a lld to 8s 51; balfbred ditto 8s Id ; merino wethers, 3a 6i ; mixed oroasbreds, 8j 3d to lls ; merino evrei m lamb, 5). - There waa a small entry of pigs ; beat baoonere, 4d to 4£d J heavy weights, 3JI.
