Phebp.— About 45^0 fat sheep panned, one-tbird prime, remainder indifferent Range of prices somewhat wide, best mutton realising up to 2|d per lb, wbi'e inferior qualities met a dragging sale at nn average of about l|d per lb, a con siderable proportion being left unsold. Store sheep were m good supply, and met a willing market, Crossbred ewes sold at 6i 3d to 9s, mix?d two-tooths to lie, good lambs 8s 4d to 10s
Oattle — The sale of beef was rather limited as compared with tho supply sent forward. Some very prime beef was offerdd, but buyers were not inclined to givo reserve prlo?s, and it was withdrawn. Whit did soil was principally heifer nnd email ox beef whioh realised from 15s to 16s 6d per lOOlbs. In consequence of some' good lines of forward conditioned steers being sent m there was abetter filled market of stores than has been 'he case of late Two and two and a ha'f year old steers fetohed from £3 4< 6d.to £3 78,6/ I. .and soma good quality yearlings' fetohed 24s to 265. There wae a moderate entry of dairy oows whioh realised from £3 15s to £7 ss. according to quality, Pioß.— -About 120 were yarded, the quality m most cases being good but prices obtained were not up to former .'quotations. Smill baconers reaohed nearly 4d. heavy weights dull snd hardly reaching 3fcd.. .
