THE NBW SCHOOL. I A ve»y pleasant and successful soiree was held m the Dromore Sohoolroom last evening, the funds raised being for the purport of starling a library, for the Sunday >ohool now opened there. The tea was provided by the ladies of the district, ann the arrangements mads did them and their helpers great credit. The after meeting was preside*" over by Bey. A. M. Beattle, who with the K*v. Messrs Buttle, Riddle and Blake, and Hessfi Wallaoe, MoDowell and Harvey, gave short and pointed addccsies on temperance, Sunday sohool work, and other topics. IheAshburton Presbyterian Church Choir gave their services under the baton of Mr Eersel, singing several* anthems and glees, accompanied by Miss Ktdd on the piano. Messrs E. Craig head, J. 0. Lane, J. Ketsel and Pete* Williams Mug solos, and botb the mosloal items and addresses were nauoh appteoiated by the numerous and attentive audience, applause being frequent and hearty. The building Is a very neat and oonveniently aaranged one, and the Dromore residents •re to be congratulated on Us erection, the faoilltles for both day school and Sunday services and sohool being now good.
