Wbioht, Esq., Dear Sir, — In repiy to your enquiries re , Hme, on a pleoe of land In oats this I season, I spread 25 cwt to the acre. The difference was very marked. I estimate the increase at 10 bushels per aore, andexpeot a substantial increase on portion limed for several yearß. 1 also limed a strip ia a paddock sown with turnips, with about the same quantity of Hue per aore, and the difference is even more marked tbao m the pteoe Bown with oats* —Youre Faithfully, John Hood Sprlngburn May Ist, 1889. To E. F. Wbight, Esq, Fib,— ln reply to yours of tbe 28th I have used your lime on lea land and land for turnips and the result is so satisfactory m both oases I will use yoor 1 lime largely this year. Yaura Truly, ' A. M. MoFablake. 1 To E. F. Weight, Esq., Mount Somert. Dear Sir,— ln reply to your enquiries about lime for top-dressing I beg to say I used about 25 owt. to the acre last spring at Bucoleuoh with very great auo oess, and intend going largely Into < It for the future. In my opinion It Is tbe best manure one oan nse on dry land. Yonrs frlthfolly, H. T. Winibr. BIVERSDALE. Milton, May 15th, 1889, Mb Wbight, Dear Sir,— l am m receipt of yours of the 11th, re lime, and beg to say tbat I have used a good deal of It the last few years, and have got very good results from Its nse for both oats and wheat, I* cropped tbe land tbe first year with turnips, and dressed part of It with fo Jj tons of small lime to the aore, part with stock-yard manure, and part with 4owt Maldon Gnano per aore. Next cropped with oats and barley, and had 70 bushels of barley and 90 bushels of oats to the aore ; It was laid down one year and then pat In wheat and gave 40 bushels to the aore. I thoroughly believe we could not get anything like the orops we do If it were not for the Hme. This year I boaght another property, and I Intend to use 600 tons. I get it at Mllburn Lime Kilns. This same faim I bonght about ten years ago, the party that had It pat on a few loads of the amali lime, and it shows as destlnotly as possible; 60 bushels was about the highest I ever got of oati antll I used the Hme. Yonrs truly, H. Dwir. F. WRIGHT,
