» :. Ohristohuroh, Jane 5. The weather was cold and raw, but there was a fair attendance. Sherp. — There was again a very good entry of fat sheep, and prices were maintained consistently throughout. Eest mutton fetched fully up to 2d per lb, while inferior was hard to quit at I j£d. The entry of store s-heep was limited. The principal lines :-old were merino wethers m good condition 3s lod, 5s yd, and 5s iod : good crossbred lambs, 89 4d, 8s od, and 9s ; small lambs, 5s 3d. Cattle.— A heavy entry of fat cattle.' No appreciable improvement m value, except m extra good quality, which advanced £1 per head, selling up to 17s 6d per ioolbs ; while ordinary brought 16s to 17s. Supplies of store cattle consisted mostly of odd lots, of which a clearance was made at satisfactory prices. Dairy cows sold well at improved rates. Pigs were principally heavy baconers, of which there was a good entry.
