Antoine (Deputy for MrfTa, Alsace-Lorraine), who recently resigned his seat m the Reichstag and returned to France, said it was impossible to forecast the events of 1890. and expressed the opinion that the conquest of France by Germany would be useless if, as m tbe present case, Deputies from the conquered territory were to be permitted to inoculate their brother Deputies m the Reichstag with their opinions.
