The wheat market is glutted. Following are the prices current :— Chickwheat 3s 6d ; New Zealand milling, 4s 6d to 4s Bd, nominal ; flour, New Zealand stone made, £10 10s to £11 ; New Zealand roller, £11 5s to £11 15s ; oats, market glutted, heavy feed, 2s 9d to 3s 2d ; feed, 3s 5d ; barley, Cape, Bs, dull ; bran, steady, Is Id ; pollard, Is 2d to Is 2£d ; potatoes, New Zealand, £4 10s per ton ; Tasmanian, £4 17s 6d per ton ; Circulars, £5 2s 6d per ton; onions, best New Zealand, £15 to £16 per ton, scarce ; butter, the market iB glutted with off qualities, and the best sorts only are saleable, separator made is quoted at Is to Is Id ; dairy, 8d to lOd j Cheese is plentiful and the market dull, local is 6d to 7£d ; New Zealand, 7d to 7£d ; bacon is scarce at lOd, and there is an aotive demand for hams at ll^d to Is.
