THE ALLEGED POISONING CASE.
Mrs Maybrick (the wife of the well* known singer and composer, who has adopted the pseudonym of Stephen Adams), who is at present m custody on a charge of poisoning her husband's brother, James Maybrick, a Liverpool merchant, is a daughter of Jefferson Davis, who was president of the Confederate States when they seceded from the American Union.
