RULES AND REGULATIONS.
The meeting will be held under the Rules of Racing ; the Trotting Race under the Rules Of the Canterbury Trotting Association. No entry will be received except on the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards' cr whom they may appoint, Their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final, A district horse shaU mean any horse tha has been commonly resident m the distric between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from February nth, 1889, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the said district during the ame period. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of ali moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expences of the conrse. All nomination and acceptance fees to go to the 'fun'ris of the Club.
The Stewards reserve to themselves the right to add a Consolation Race to the programme. NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all Handicaps, including the Trot ing Race, accompanied by fee, name, age, description, and performances of horse, and colors of the rider must be m the hands of (hi Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 1889 WEIGHTS; Handicaps for the first day's Races and Trotting Race, will be published on or about , May 31 d. Handicaps ior the second day's Races will be published at 7 o'clock on the evening of the first day's racing.
ACCEPTANCES AND ENTRIES.
