Londok, M»y 5 The Parnell fund has reached ;£37,000. Twenty thousand has been paid already to Mr G. Lewis, Solicitor for the defence.
It is reported that O'Brien will be released conditionally to enable him to attend the Parnell Commission. (Received M*y 7, 12 20 p.m.) London, (Vuy 6. The admissions made by Mr Parnell m his cross-examination before the Commission have had the effect of causing a revival of sympathy with the " Times." The Tories are jubilant. The general impression is that Mr ParneU's legal advisers made a great mistake m deciding npon calling evidence for the defence, and that they should have rested content with the effect upon public opinion of the break-down of the " Times' " case as regarded the Pigott letters.
