MEETING OF RATE PAYERS.

The annual meeting of ratepayers of the above Board was held m the Board's offloe, Mount Somets, on Wednesday, M»y Jst. About 16 ratepayers were present and Mr Walker, Chairman of the Board, presided. The following talanoe sheet was then submitted : —

In reply to a question the Chairman stated that the bank did not allow any Interest on the oarrent account! After a little discussion the following resolution was carried; " That It be an instruction to the lnoomtng Board to endeavour to make arrangements with the Board's banker In the matter of exchange on oheques and Interest on current aoooant."

That the authority In charge of the construction of the Mount Somera extension be requested to lay down a siding at Bucoleuob, south of tioyer's stream as originally Intended, and that the attention of the proprietor of the Buocleuoh Estate be called to the same. After some further discussion on Road Board matters Mr Tlioh proposed that the balauoa sheet be adopted so far aa this meeting can do so previous to the Government Audit. This was seconded by Mr Harvey and carried.

A rota of thanks to the Ob airman and the retiring Board, closed the meeting.
