Ohbistohtteoh, May 1. The yards were well filled to-day with Btook and the attendance was as good as usual. Store Sheep.-— Though the number of store bheep advertised for sale did not denote any speoial entries there were a great many dealers lota m and but few sales were effected. Mixed aged orosabred ewes fetohed 6s Cd to 7s 4d; halfbred lambs, 6s 4d. A line of recently shorn lambs, 5s 7d ; two tooth orossbred ewes, 9s 3d ; fall-mouthed merino ewes, 3s 2d ; morino wethers m forward oondition, 4s Id ; and a very good line of mixed orossbreda at 10s Bd.

Pat Sheep.— There was a very large entry of mixed sorts, some few pens of very good quality being noticeable. The sale, however, dragged considerably at first and buyers m want of some good sheep nearly fat were able to supply themselves at about Is 3d per head less than has been the case for the past three or four markets. The prioe did not improve as the sale went on and a drop of from jd to gd must be reoorded all round. Best wether mutton did not m any case realise more than 13d per lb while there no line of ewe mutton that reaohed up to l£d. lumbs— There was a smaller entry of fat lambs and no competition for anything, but the very primest. 118 sold at from 6a to 7s and 10 at 7a 2d. A line of 484 medium eorte was withdrawn.

Fat Cattle.— The sale of beef was notiooable for its vagaries. At the commencement dome lines of deoent quality were withdrawn at prices ranging from £4 5a to £4 17s 6d, bat owing to an improvement daring the sale lots were submitted and fetohed f ally 7s 6d to 10s a head above that. Best bullooka reaohed £7 and heifers up to £6 10s, while smaller kinds Bold m proportion. Taken throughout the average rate was slightly reduoed m price bb compared with last sale. Best beef only reaohed 17b.

Stobe Oattlh.— There was a larger entry of this description of Btook than has been the case, more lines of young Btook being m. Good sorts of yearlings realised 80s to 35s • two-year-olds 88s to £2 lla. A few 8-year-olds m forward condition reaohed to £8 Ba. Piaa.— -There was a very large entry of pigs and a deoided fall m prioe, Best pork realised 4d per lb.
