FIRE AT INVERCARGILL.
♦ (Per Press association.) Inveroaegiuc April 26. The extensive premises of Fleming and Gilkison, floor millers, caught fire at 11.20 a.m. to-day. The buildings were part brick and put wood, and the flames started m the opper storey of the wooden portion. The brigade was soon on the spot and eventually hid fire jets playing on the fire, but the •trong wind blowing to some extent neutralised its efforts. The wooden seotion of the establishment is now mostly demolished, but it is believed that the briok store and contents will be saved. Insurance for flour mill, £500 m New Zealand (£250 re-insured m Phosnix) and £500 m New Zealand (re-inßured £250 m North German) £500 m Equitable ; wheat and oats m store, £1000 m New Zealand (re-insured £500 m North German) and £1000 m Royal.
