At the meeting of householders for the election of a new Sohool Oommittee, Mr W. Edson was voted to tbe chair. Mr J. Hood, Chairman of the outgoing Oommittee read bis report showing agoodoredlt balance to the children's aud incidental funds. Mr W. MoOlimont took objection to charges being madefor religious services held m the school. In explanation Mr Hood said tbat the charges were very small and were for the children's amusement fund and to pay the caretaker for the extra woi k they caused . He explained thai he etret-giy objected to the common way of raising mcn c y for the children's sports by meaus of subscription lists It was reeolved to SBk each of the candidates for the new 0 jmmttte-, whether they were m favor of religious servioes free of oharge at least on Sunday. The report was then adopted. Toe eieotion of Committee resulted as follows : — J. Price, 18 -, W. MoOlimont, 17 j T. Talt, 14 ; W. Edson, 10 ; J. Hoed, 9 ; A. Fox, 9 ; A.
