Mr Howard Smith, on behalf of Melbourne projectors, is promoting a Bank, to be named the London and Melbourne Bank instead of the Bank of England and Australia as formerly, the proposed capital being two millions. The well-known firm of Barings will undertake the floating of the Company if they approve of the details of the prospectus.
