Floquet resigned. Paris, February 15 M. Floquet has stated that the scheme j for the revision of the Constitution was insufficient, and satisfied only a fevr, hence his defeat. The majority comprised the Righ . and Opportunists. It is prooable the President will invite a j Moderate, perhaps M. Rouvier, to form a Government to hold office till the Exhibition is over. The Prince of Wales was present during the debate.
