Major Le Caron, under examination before tbe Parnell Commission, said the Fenians m America plotfed another invasion of Canada m 1870, after their attempt m 1866 had been ignorainiously defeated. He asserted that members of the Clan-na-gael Society had been employed by J. J. O'KeHj, M.P. for Roscommon North, to ship arms to Ireland, and that they had received Parnell and Dillon m America m 1881. He produced secret papers, pass, words, and cyphers of the Society. Cross-examined, he confessed he had been secretly supplying information about the conspirators to the British Government for years. In the course of his evidence to-day before the " Times "-Parnell Commission, Major Le Caron disclosed the plans of the United Brotherhood Dynamite Campaign of 1881, and stated that 90,000 dollars of the skirmishing fund had been spent m arming vessels and m other offensive operations.
