ASHBURTON VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE

The annual meetbg of members of the Ashburton Volunteer Fire Brigade was held at the station, Burnett street, last evening. There was a good attendar.ee of members, and Mr W, B. Moas, 0.8.P., end some of the offioers of the Western Brigade were pre├čont by Invitation. An invitation bad also been lent to the Borough Councillors, but none of them put iv an appearance, though the Brigade waited for them for a considerable time.
