AtHlio sitting of the National Indian Congress to day resolutions were carried that expansion and reform m the manner of appointing Governors-General and Provincial Councils were necessary. All tho gentlemen speaking on the subject professed fervent loyalty to Great Britain. j Calcutta, D'oambnr 29 The National Indian Congress has now concluded its sittings. During tho latter part of tho Conference questions of social, political and military reforms were discussed, and the promotion of indigenous industries was recommended to inquiry by a Parliamentary Committee. A telegram expressing sympathy with Mr John Bright m his severe illness was authorised to be sent. The Congress wound up with hearty cheers for her Majesty Queen Victoria.
