Campbell, member for Kirkcaldy, m the House of Commons to-day, protested agaiust tbe action of trie Government m parte) ing for granting responsible Government to the greater rjortion of Western Australia without first consulting Parliament. Sir John Gorst, m reply, said it would be necessary to pass an Act before autonomy could be abolished, so that Parliament Would have full opportunity of considering the proposals, should they be proceeded with, before ihey can be carried out.
