It is doubted if tbe 92 000,000 francu deposited will be sufficient to meet the lottery priaes. A general meeting of the Panama Canal Company is being convened. In consequence of the action of the Chamber of Deputies political trouble is feared. London, D«cember 17. The " Times," m referring to the collapse of the Panama scheme, considers it Boulanger's chance of pushing reactionary measures.
