London, December 6 Several London papers assert that the condition of Suakim and its unsuitability as a post for European soldiers have arroused an inclination m Government to abandon the place till the power of the Mahdi has become I threatening enough to compel strong measures against the dervishes. They urge Government either to abandon the town altogether or concert measures for the purpose of effectually crushing once and for all the forces which have so long been threatening Suakim,
