Vienna, December 2. The fortieth anniversary of the accession of the Emperor Francis Joseph 1., was celebrated to-day without public pomp or festivity, the Emperor having desired there should be no outward display. Thirty millions of florins will be given to the charities of the realm, and orders have also been given that a thousand parks and avenues throughout Austria-Hungary are to be planted with trees m commemoration of the event. i ' _^_____ _____
