Melbourne, November 27. By the destruction by fire of a house, a selector named Nowark, at Mooloolab, and three children were burned. Setb, a light-weight pugilist, who recently arrived from England, knocked out W. Murphy, of New Zealand, m six rounds. Murphy fought very gamely, and the contest was one of the best seen m Melbourne for some time past. Sir Samuel Wilson carries off the International Grand Champion Prize m the wool show at the Exhibition. There was no award to New Zealand exhibitors m the flour and wool classes. In class 72, fermented and distilled drinks, the following awards were made :—Light sparkling ale, J. Edmonds, Petone, Wellington, and M. ToeK Dunedin, third ; malt bitter, ale,' M. Joel second; bqUled; stout, M. Joel third ; strong ale, M. Joel fourth.
