Mblbouknic, November 19. On Saturday night an encounter took place m Little Bourke street between Chinese and larrikins. One of the former was held down and a laborer named Cutter jumped on his chest and killed him. Cutter has been arrested. A trading schooner foundered m a squall off St Leonards, a small fishing village m Hobson's Bay, seventy miles south-west of Melbourne. The crew made for the top of the rigging, where they remained for some hours before /their rescue, which, owing to the sea, was accomplished with difficulty.
