'RULES AND "REGULATIONS. f The meeting will be held under tbe rules of racing, and the Ashbuiton Racing Club Rules a No entry' will be received except oa the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint.- Thtir decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme te be final. 3 A district horse shall mean any horse that bas been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from August 20th, 1888, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting:, and owned by a person «&• has resided'in the said district during the geme period. < 4 Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expenses of the course. 5.
