THE SCHOOL CHILDREN'S TRIP TO THE EXHIBITION.

To this Editor. ■ Sis, —I was surprised to find in your issue of to-day a letter which I had addressed to the parents of pupils attending the schools, as it was merely written with a view of gaining an idea of the number of children who would be inclined intake advantage of this chance of visiting the Exhibition so that proper arrangements can be made, and not for publication. As has appeared in your paper, will you kindly make the following corrections : Instead of “ Wednesday and Thursday,” yua should have written “ Wednesday or Thursday ; ” and the last sentence should read, “Please let me know as soon as possible, if these arrangements can be made, the number from your house that would he likely to go.” The excursion is how definitely fixed for Tuesday, 4th July—adults 7s fid and ss, children, 2s fid. School children’s tickets, 2a each, can be had only at the school. By inserting the above yon will much oblige.—l am, &c., Hkctoe Dempsey. Ashburton Borough Schools, 27th June,
