Further information has been received from Waratah Bay with regard to the ship which was reported to be ashore there. It is now known that the vessel, which has since been floated off, is the barque Almendral, 678 tons, bound from Melbourne to Sydney. With Military Honors. The funeral of the late Colonel Anderson took place to-day. A large body of Volunteers was present, and the ceremony was performed with full military honors. Produce*. Wheat is quoted to-day at 4s lid per bushel, and barley at 4s 4d. A Curious Dispute. The Garonne’s pass fingers who have been released from quarantine arrived in Melbourne last night. The difficulty which has arisen regarding the payment of sustenance money during the period of quarantine is between the passengers and the agents of the Orient Company, who demand payment from the former. General Fielding, who recently completed the survey of the proposed transcontinental railway to the Gulf of Carpentaria, has submitted a proposal on behaf of a London company to the Queensland Government for the construction of the line, 1 The proposal has, however, not Wen accepted by the Government, anji certain terms offered by the latter have accordingly been referred by General Fielding to the London Syndicate!.
