Attempted Suicide.— Alexander Murray, the landlord of the Crown Hotel, Lyttelton, attempted to commit suicide yesterday, by cutting his arm with a razor. He was found up in a kind of loft, with large pools of blood round him, and after two hours, owing to Dr Rouse’s exertions, he partially recovered, and is now out of danger. He attributes the rash act to despondency owing to money matters. .
