Back from the front.—The scare at Parihaka is over; our volunteers have proved themselves equal to the occasion, and although no fighting was done, they were the “ boys” to do it had it been required; a brush with the « blackfellows ” was what they went for. Nevertheless they did & good deal of hard tramping up hill and oown dale; and the astonishing fact is that most of them, having been provided with STOUT BOOTS from 0. HAWKINS’ never-to-be-excelled Boot and Shoe Warehouse, came wi+v their “ understandings” nearly tug'-tjd a* Vn they left this go-ahead Nttle township. TryO.
