In pursuance of “The Regulations of Elections’ Act, 1881,” I George Jameson, Returning Officer tor the Electoral District of Wakanui, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the ninth day of November, 1881, under the hand of the clerk of the writs, an Election will be held for the return of ONE qualified person to serve as a MEMBER for the said Electoral District; and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Ashburton Saleyards Office, at noon, on FRIDAY, the 2nd day of DECEMBER, 1881, and that the POLL (if necessary) will be taken at the several Polling places of the districts on FRIDAY, the ninth day of DECEMBER, 1881.
