Hot Water. —From Wellington, we learn that the Government are taking active steps towards bringing into operation the Thermal Springs Act, passed last session. A pamphlet is being issued setting forth in the most attractive guise the benefits derivable from the hot springs and the boaulies of the surrounding scenery. Carefully selected extracts from writings of Messrs Hochstetter, Fox, Hector and others are incorporated. There is also an analysis of the water and notes as to the therapeutic qualities. .'** topographical sketch map, forming a compendious itineary of the locality, is also being issued. The township of Rotorua is being got ready for the market as speedily as possible. Pome natives are employed clearing street lines, and others in preparing a place for European settlement.
