FATAL ACCIDENTS.

[by telegraph.] Gisborne, To-day. A fatal accident occurred last night to Charles Colley. The deceased, who was a carter, was driving out of town when the horses bolted and the driver fell off the shafts and was run over. Death is supposed to have been instantaneous. The deceased was a sober, industrious man, and leaves a wife and large family. Carterton, To-day. Henry Goodwin, a rabbiter, accidentally shot himself on Saturday afternoon and died a few hours afterwards. His dogs had attacked some tame pigs and Goodwin struck at them with the stock of his gun, and hitting the ground, discharged the contents of both barrels into his chest. The gun was full-cock.
