MOUNT SOMERS ROAD BOARD.

A‘- special meeting of this Board • was held at the Road Board office, Mount Somers, on Monday last. Present — Messrs A. E. Peache (Chairman), I. E. Taylor, D. Cameron, and P. Tisoh. The Chairman stated that the t meeting was called for the purpose of arranging a settlement of accounts with the Bangitata Road Board. > A letter was read, from the Bangitata Road Board, declining the Board’s proto a,settlement of accounts, i Ther^Clerk‘was directed to reply that the Mount Somers Road Board have care-" fully re-considered their proposal to the Bangitata Road Board and they see no reason for departing from it; and as the Bangitata Board baye made no proposal on their own behalf, this Board fail to see what more they c4n do in the matter.
