Mr Alfred Harrison reports of his Saturday’s sale as follows —Under bill of sale I disposed of four horses and a quantity of implements at fair prices, especially the implements. A large number of - draughts and hacks were entered, and purchasers were found for about half the entries, at moderate rates, as times 20. Pigs were well represented and sold aSfjflfows 7at 5s 9d, sat Cs 6d, 7 at Bs, lat 18s 6d, 6 at 19s 6d, 2 at 24s lat 30s. Fowls, 2s to 2s 8d per pair ; ducks, 3slod per pair; turkeys, 8s to 10a per pair.' ' DP plough, Blythe, L 7 ; DP plough, Reid and Gray, L 9; harrows L 4 and L4:6s; also drays, harness, and other etcetras, at fair prices. Chick wheat sold at from la to 2s per bushel, according to sample, there being a large quantity to dispose' of,' of; various, qualities ; barley, Is 6d to Is 9d per bushel; carrots, 45s per ton ; potatoes. Hue derwent, L 3 to L 3 16s per ton; for kidneys there is little demand; onions, fd to Id per lb ; flour, 11s 6d per bag ; cheese,'4d per lb ; bacon, 6d per lb; hams, 8d par lb ; pork in carcass, 3|d per lb ; veal, 4Jd per lb ; lard, 4d per lb ; tea, 19s 6d to 21s per 121 b box; empty sacks, good, 5s per doz. A quantity of sundries were; also disposed of at fair pikes. Messrs J. T. Ford and Co., in conjunction with Messrs Friedlander Bros., beg to report :—That at the clearing sale of Mr H. Moffat’s dead and live stocK, at Wakanni; on the 26th instant, the attendance was a very good one, the bidding very spirited, and the prices realised, considering the present state of the market, very good'. Weappend alist of the principal items ill machinery. We disposed in one lino of an 8-h.p. traction engine, by Brown and May, together with combine and elevator, and two - traction waggons, for L 650, two'4-h.p. engines, by Clayton and Shuttlewofth and Brown and May, were sold at L7O and L 55 respectively, steam chaff-cutters at LSO and L 45, and one small one at LlO 10s; Peering reaper and binder at L 22105, DP ploughs L9iand'Lll; farm drays, from L4,L 7, L 9, and Ll 5 ; town carts, Lll and L 22 ; dog cart, LLB, and all other items in this nlnaa atrfoir prices. Twenty-seven horses sold fairly well, at following prices For draughts, from Ll 5 to L 26, inferior, from LS. lfts to Ll4hacks, Ll 5 to Ll 7. A very large quantity second hand sacks sold at from 3s 6d to 4s 7d per doz.
