Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Christchurch, for the following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under T ' Thursday, March 24. For Northern Ports, per Rotorua, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. Saturday, March 26. 'For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per Wanaka, as follows: —Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m. ; late fee letters at 7 p.m. ; books ! and- newspapers, at 6 p. in. ; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; money orders at 3 -p;m. ; guard’s van, 8.30p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on May 10th.
