WHEREAS it lins been made to appear that certain things required to be done by “ The Rating Act, 1876,” in connection with the preparation and revision of the valuation roll of the Upper Ashburton Read District cannot be done by or within the times mentioned in the said Act : Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in him by the said “ Rating Act, 1876,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the , said Colony, doth [ hereby extend the times for doing the said things in connection with the valuation roll of the said road district, and doth declare that the times for ihe doing such several things shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto. 1. For transmitting to the Road Board the valuation list: On or before the first day of April, 1881. 2. The Mount Hutt Road Board propose CLOSING the following ROADS in the district : No. I—Coinmencingat the mostwesterly corner of section 30772, thence in an easterly direction along that section and sections 30313, 26904, 2G905, to a point five and six-tenth chains from the most easterly corner of section 2G9OG, returning from thence along sections 26900, 30312, and reserve 2026 to the commencing point. No. 2.—• Commencing at the most southerly corner of rural section No. 24441, thence north-west and northerly along that section to its northernmost corner, thence to the north-east corner of section 30479, returning along section 30179 and 24445, to the starting point. No. 3. Commencing at the most northerly point of section 25153, thence south-easterly along 25240 and 24398 to a point on section 30819, thence southerly and southwesterly through said section to the most southerly portion of section 25151, thence westerly along sections 24442, 27030, to the most south-westerly corner of section 32001. No. 4. Commencing at the most southerly point of section 24398, thence north-easterly and northerly to its north-east corner, returning along sections 30711 and 30819, to its starting point.
