A QUERY.

To the Editor. Sir, —I have heard with regret that the Industrial Exhibition Committee have made it one of their conditions that all exhibits for competition must not bear any of the exhibitors’ names, or otherwise they will be. disqualified. Whether the rumor is true or not of course I am not in a position to decide. I can bard'y imagine that such an absurd condition is really meant to bo enforced, as the names of exhibitors has always been allowed to be shown on the exhibits at any Exhibition that I have been present at. As to the name having anything to do with the qualification for a certificate of merit can hardly be flattering to the judges, whoever they may be. Perhaps, Mr Editor, you can inform me whether the Committee have really decided this question.—l am, Arc., Exhibitor. [vVo refer our correspondent to the Hon. Secretary, Mr Poyntz, who will give any information as to the conditions on which exhibits are received. We can, however, hardly credit the rumor that the names of exhibitors shall be excluded.— Ed. €?.]
