(Per Press Association.) Trespass, Timaru, To-day. Two men, for trespassing on land at the Washdyke with dogs, in search of game, were fined five and ten pounds respectively at the Magistrates Court this morning. Fire. Dunedin, To-day. A five-roomed’cottage at Mansford’sßay, owned and occupied by John Pearce, was burned down on Saturday night, and an adjoining cottage was pulled down to save the fire from spreading. The insurances are L 450, in the Colonial Company. An Invitation. The Southland branch of the Land League numbers over a hundred members. At a meeting on Saturday it was decided to invite Mr Robert Stout to visit Invercargill and deliver a lecture on the land question.
