Telegrams are to hand containing a rumor that 500 Irish Americans have left the States for the Transvaal to join the Boers. Washington Inundated. New York, Feb. 15. The weather during the last few days has been very severe throughout the Northern States. The greater part of the city of Washington is indundated, and much loss of property is being caused. Very heavy snowstorms have been experienced in the West, and the railroads in many places are blocked, and the traffic completely suspended.
