(Per Reuter's Agency.) The Australian- Cricketers’ Welcome Home. Melbourne, Dec. 2. The Australian cricketers received a most hearty welcome back after their English tour, and at the Town Hall today Mr Street, of Dunedin, on behalf of the Otago cricketers, presented Mr. Murdoch, captain of the team, with a handsome gold bat. The Mayor entertains them to-night. The Intercolonial Conference. The intercolonial conference has adopted a resolution in favour of a federal council. Legislation on the Chinese question has been adjourned until the meeting of the conference at Sydney on January 15th, when all the colonies will be invited.. The Sorata. Adelaide. Doc. 2. The Sorata sailed for Melbourne to-day.
